The problem
Betts Associates purchased PROJECTminder in an effort to overcome the following business issues:
- The large amount of duplication of manual data input of key project information such as timesheets and expenses, which had an increased chance of erroneous input.
- Sales invoices are derived largely from the summary of monthly time. The manual summarizing of timesheets was a time consuming process prone to error. Producing sales invoices sooner and more frequently would help improve cash flow and the cash position of the business.
- Difficultly producing on demand management reporting; projects opened, progress of projects in terms of cost vs. fees, and projects closed or completed.
- Insufficient time for the admin team to progress sales invoices, do credit control and banking.
The solution
PROJECTminder for Engineers was chosen because it directly reflected the business processes of a consultant engineer. With the flexibility in project stages, reporting and the easy project setup and timesheets PROJECTminder ticked all of the boxes in terms of functionality and usability.
